Audacity: A multimedia audio editor

Audacity stands for Advanced Audio Coding, and the program has a bevy of useful features. You can see a brief list of some of these in Figure 12-1.

FIGURE 12-1: Audacity offers various editing and effects tools to work with audio.

The basic editing features of Audacity allow you to convert audio files to formats that other software, such as Premiere Pro, can use, such as MP3, AAC, WAV, and Ogg Vorbis. With a variety of effects available, you can apply sound edits to audio files as well as add a whole host of other sounds to the mix.

Because Audacity has a small footprint, it can be loaded into a USB thumb drive and run from your computer. This makes it ideal for traveling with a laptop or notebook, or for taking on the go with a cell phone or iPad.

Solr query using alternate value for substring

How can I find documents with substring term?
For example, I want to search for documents with term „deja+voucher”
If I use „deja+voucher” it will consider deja as primary and because it does not have „voucher”, It wont find the documents.
Is it possible to use alternate value for substring in solr query?

You can use %wildcard to pass some value which is not indexed.
Select from the index „deja*/” and search „deja* voucher”.It will find all the documents where the term „deja* voucher” is present.

FFT of White Noise in Python

I am trying to do a FFT of a given image, but I cannot even get a white noise input to work. I have tried feeding noise into my test image and the output is always a zero. Any ideas as to why? Also, does it make a difference if I convert the Image to H[:,:,0] and do my FFT on H[:,:,0]? Thanks.
import numpy as np
import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
import scipy.fftpack

n = 5
h = scipy.zeros(shape=(n, n, n), dtype=’float32′)

x = np.zeros(n)
#x = np.random.rand(n)

x = np.roll(x, n-1)

for i in xrange(n):
for j in xrange(n):
for k in xrange(n):
h[i][j][k] = 2.5*np.random.rand(1)
h[i][j][i] = 2.5*np.random.rand(1)

plt.imshow(h, cmap=’gray’)

h = scipy.zeros((n, n, n), dtype=’float32′)

You didn’t define h as anything, just h = scipy.zeros(…)

In the field of data transmission, packets may be received by a network entity from a transmitting entity. The network entity may forward the packet to the transmitting entity, or, it may relay the packet to the transmitting entity via intermediate entities. The network entity may apply any type of network device, such as a switch, a router, a protocol processing entity, or the like, to process packets based on a network protocol being implemented. The network device may require substantial resources to handle the number of packets received for forwarding. For instance, a network device implementing TCP/IP may handle a packet stream involving millions of packets. Further, the network device may be constantly occupied to handle packets such that incoming data may be lost. Hence
